The olive tree is deeply rooted in Palestinian culture and symbolises Palestinian resilience and belonging to their land.

The olive wood beads are made from local olive trees that are hundreds of years old. The tres are not cut for their wood, rather cut-offs taken from annual pruning and trimming are used to produce these beads.
